Chairman David Elhayani of the Yesha Council of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria said, Monday that he was happy over a letter sent to him by Bank Leumi that said the Bank had no intention of discriminating against the residents of Judea and Samaria regarding loans or any other banking service and expressed a desire to independently fund those who are affected by such an agreement.
Elhayani said, "It is inconceivable that an Israeli company will boycott a group of residents according to one or the other geographical criteria. The residents of the area are an integral part of the Israeli economy. They contribute in activity, in agriculture and in industry for the advancement and development of the country and we are proud of it."
