Greece, Cyprus and Israel will sign early next year an agreement to lay the longest underwater gas pipeline in the world, the office of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Sunday night. The signing will take place in Athens.

According to a report in Kan News, the pipeline will allow Israel to export natural gas from its reservoirs to European countries. The agreement will be signed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Mitsotakis and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades. Italy which is a party to the agreement as well will sign it at a later date.
