Chile's Air Force Commander said the attempt to locate the remains of a transport plane that crashed on its way to Antarctica two weeks ago may not succeed, and that "we may never know what exactly happened to it."
The plane took off from southern Chile with 17 crew members and 21 passengers making their way to provide logistical assistance to a Chilean base on King George Island, adjacent to the Antarctic continent.
