The film "Advocate" (Hebrew equivalent Leah Tsemel, Attorney), directed by Philippe Bellaïche and Rachel Leah Jones, was accepted into the list of 15 documentaries to compete for the 2020 Academy Award in the documentary feature category.
The film traces the career of Tsemel, whose clientele included Arab terrorists. Yaron Silberman's film "Days of Awe" (Yamim Nora'im in Hebrew) which won the Ophir Award earlier this year, did not make the list. The Academy will narrow the list down to five next month.
