Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar returned from an interfaith conference in Bahrain where the rabbi personally met religious figures from Arab countries with which Israel has no diplomatic relations.
"The clergy can weave the rug on which the statesmen will make peace," Rabbi Amar said in a Kann Reshet Bet interview, and said he met with the Jewish community in the state that consists of 40 Jews. "Their condition is good," the rabbi noted.
