Transport Minister Betzalel Smotrich responded to a report on Galei Tzahal this morning according to which the Transport Ministry is for the first time working to regulate an identification system for all those lacking status in Israel, even those with no visa, to allow them to take a driving theory test for electric bicycles.
"I know of no such thing and as long as I'm in the Transport Ministry it won't be promoted," Minister Smotrich wrote on Twitter: "Creeping citizenship is a bad thing that will not happen on my watch. The solution for illegal infiltrators is to return them to their country of origin, period. In the meantime, anyone who goes against the law has to be dealt with by enforcement, infiltrator and citizen alike."
