Local leaders from Sderot and other Gaza-area localities protested on Tuesday at the Knesset against the continued rocket fire from Gaza, which is disrupting the lives of tens of thousands of residents.
The authorities wore protest shirts imprinted with the slogan "Immoral Reality." Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi said the state was divided into two - the Gaza area with thousands of applications for psychological help, as opposed to the rest of the state. Chairman Ofir Libstein of the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council called on the government to stop talking about the need for a unity government and to focus on the emergency government, saying "The containment policy is no longer working. The difficulty is getting stronger - we have been in the war of attrition for the last two years."
