Member of Knesset Ofer Shelah (Blue and White), a close associate of senior party member Yair Lapid, explained to Galei Tzahal radio, Tuesday, that Lapid decided to give up the rotation for party chairman and prime minister candidate because "he recognized the need for Blue and White to be united behind one candidate. The consideration that preceded the decision was not political."
Regarding Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and talks with the Likud Party, Shelah made it clear, "The waiver of immunity is a prerequisite. There does not seem to be any chance of preventing elections. Netanyahu is constantly refusing."
