President Reuven Rivlin told the Israel Industry Conference on Monday, "Improving our traditional technology production will bring greater workforce productivity in those [traditional] industries, and will raise wages. At the same time, the need to increase the integration of Arab and haredi communities in key employment sectors will allow Israeli society as a whole to realize its potential through talented young people from those populations.”
Rivlin stressed, “Only if we are able to bring industry, trade and services, education, vocational training and higher education together can we create a pipeline for Israeli innovation. We must ensure that innovation, already synonymous with Israel, does not get stuck in the world of start-ups, but comes to every field. We must ensure that every part of Israeli society and every sector of employment has the opportunity to be part of this success story. Then we will be able to bring those who have been left far behind into the ‘Israeli success story'."
