Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said on Sunday his party would start a process to replace him on January 12, 2020.
Muscat said he would resign after the investigation into the 2017 car bomb killing of anti-corruption journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia led to charges against a prominent businessman with alleged ties to government ministers and senior officials.
