MK Gideon Sa'ar (Likud) on Sunday rejected a report on Channel 20, according to which Sa'ar proposed to then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2003 to evacuate Netzarim even before the Disengagement plan was put together.

"I opposed the Disengagement in the referendum of Likud members and in all the votes in the 16th Knesset: Both on the Disengagement Plan (in the Knesset plenum) and on the Disengagement Implementation Law (in the Knesset and the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee). I also refused Prime Minister Sharon's proposal to be a part of his cabinet in 2005, on the eve of the Disengagement," Sa'ar said in response, stressing the report was false.
