President Reuven Rivlin has met Jordanian Prince Prince Ghazi bin Mohammed, a senior adviser to King Abdullah II and his emissary, as well as a series of other Jordanian officials on the sidelines of this week's working visit to London.
The President's Residence said that a number of topics were discussed during a meeting of open and fruitful dialogue, most notably the issue of the development of the Jordan River immersion site and promotion of the Land of Monasteries initiative which the president has been leading in recent years, which includes restoration of Christian sites in the Jordan River basin and creating a route for pilgrims arriving as tourists.
