'If we deteriorate to elections, shorten the timelines as much as possible'

With 21 days to go before elections are called for lack of a government, Member of Knesset Oded Forer (Yisrael Beytenu) expressed support on Thursday for an initiative to shorten the time until the elections, saying, "I want a government to come up and not go to the elections. I think the 21 days can still be used to lead to a unity government. "If we deteriorate to elections, shorten the timelines as much as possible."

Interviewed by public radio, Forer said: "Regarding the Arab parties - it was perfectly clear that we would not sit with them or in a government that they supported. On the other hand - on the part of the haredi parties - we do not have a blanket disqualification, but the process they are undergoing is a process of supporting the most extreme anti-Zionist messages."
