Egypt calls for immediate ceasefire

Egypt is calling on Israel, the Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian organizations in Gaza to enter an immediate ceasefire.

A senior Egyptian official told Kan News on Wednesday night, “Israel should stop the assassinations and stop opening fire towards Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza, the Islamic Jihad should hold fire and make sure that demonstrations remain calm.”
