Minister Ze'ev Elkin, a member of the security cabinet, on Tuesday evening issued a warning to Hamas which has so far avoided intervening in the fighting in the south.
"If Hamas does not act to stop the Islamic Jihad from firing - it will be harmed. It has no immunity," Elkin said in an interview with Reshet Bet radio. “We see Hamas as responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip."
Elkin also addressed the question of whether the policy of targeted eliminations of terrorists has returned and replied, "We never abandoned it, no one is immune."
