Incoming defense minister Naftali Bennett will take office tomorrow at 11:00. Minister Bennett yesterday began a series of meetings and security consultations before he took office, and will continue to do so today, in order to get a picture of the current situation and learn in depth the challenges of the IDF and the security system.
As part of this, the Minister decided to go directly into office, without ceremony and without the guard of honor, in order to immediately access the significant challenges that lie ahead.
Later this week, the Minister will meet with members of the General Staff Forum headed by the Chief of Staff, and soon thereafter will meet with the Heads of Divisions Forum in the Ministry of Defense headed by the Director General of the Ministry.
