President Reuven Rivlin thanked astronaut Jessica Meyer for posting three pictures of Israel, taken on the International Space Station yesterday.
"Dear Jessica, thank you for taking us with you on a space trip. We are proud of you and extend our warmest regards from our Israel," Rivlin said.
Meir, daughter to an Israeli father who has been in space for several weeks, wrote in her Instagram account: "My father's journey, which began in the Middle East, continued to Europe and eventually to the United States, inspired many in my family."
