The Western Wall Heritage Foundation responded to the Western Wall riots following the arrival of Woman of the Wall for Rosh Chodesh.
"This morning, about 30 women and men from the Woman of the Wall group sought to enter the woman's section against procedures with four Torah scrolls. Against them stood nearly 1,000 worshipers who sought to prevent it at all costs.
"The Western Wall Heritage Founders did everything they could to prevent a violent clash between the parties. Foundation ushers struggled to prevent desecration of Torah scrolls or their falling, and called on the Women of the Ezrat Yisrael. The Western Wall Heritage Foundation calls on all concerned to make every attempt to prevent provocation at the Western Wall, and to restore the Western Wall to its status as a unifying and cohesive venue."
