A Kurdish commander in the Syrian Democratic Forces says United States President Donald Trump promised in a phone conversation with him to maintain a long-term commitment in northern Syria.
The commander, Mazlum Kobanê, added that in the conversation, Trump promised to provide support to forces in various areas.
