Yisrael Beyteinu Chairman MK Avigdor Liberman responded to a publication in Yisrael Hayom on the drafting of a modesty laws booklet for religious soldiers by reserve military rabbis with the support of senior rabbis.
"It's another testimony to the growing radicalization of religious Zionism that is being dragged by the haredi wing. This attempt to turn the IDF into the army of god with patterns of conduct like the haredim is part of the same messianic worldview that penetrates Israeli society and attempts to damage the fabric of life and the status quo in everything connected to religion and state.
"We must prohibit the distribution of the booklet among IDF soldiers and prevent the rabbis who signed it from serving in the reserve or lecturing to soldiers," Liberman wrote in his Facebook account.
