Joint List Chairman Ayman Odeh said on Thursday, ahead of the party's meeting with Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan and acting police chief Motti Cohen about reducing violence and murder in the Arab sector, "The just demands of the Arab population and the tens of thousands of protesters are behind us."
Odeh added, "We demand the anchoring [in legislation] of penalties and heavy fines for every citizen possessing illegal weapons and prosecuting the leaders of criminal gangs."
