Belgian authorities have made it clear to the local Jewish community that the practice of Kapparot is forbidden even if the chickens are slaughtered outside the borders of the state.
EU-Israel affairs advisor Jenny Aharon said: "The abolition of some Jewish rights comes at the same time when anti-Semitism is being normalized. This is piling up faster than we can blink."
