Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed at the Likud faction meeting the current political deadlock.

"We wanted to establish a right-wing government and unfortunately it was not possible. We just did not get enough seats to do so, Gantz also wanted to form a left-wing government but did not get enough seats to do so. The only government possible in this situation is a broad unity government."

"The only way to form a government like this is to sit down and talk. I am convinced that if we speak with an open mind and goodwill we can form a good and broad government for the people of Israel," the Prime Minister added.
