The Israel Police, the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipal Security Department and the Health Ministry have found a public shelter adjacent to a butcher shop on Tel Aviv's Mahal Street that was converted into a warehouse containing refrigerators full of meat that was unworthy of human consumption.
187 kilograms of meat was confiscated by the police and municipal inspectors and later destroyed on the order of the Ministry of Health's veterinarian. The owner of the butcher shop was investigated and emptied the shelter on the municipality's instruction.
