In a post on Twitter, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called on the Afghan government to make sure elections in the warn torn country be free and transparent, writing:
"We expect Afghanistan’s institutions to take all necessary steps to ensure the upcoming Presidential election is transparent and credible to Afghan voters."
