Some 600 inspectors are striking in local authorities and regional committees throughout the country, and are not conducting field reviews, handling paperwork, or providing telephone and reception, and are not participating in committees.
The Histadrut notes that the organizational measures are being taken in protest of inspectors being subject to daily violence by the supervised population, and the country's refusal to provide them with proper security arrangements during their work.
