US President Donald Trump has confirmed that Hamza bin Ladin, son of al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden, was killed in a US operation.
Hamza, aged approximately 30, was widely seen as his father's heir and successor. The US designated him a global terrorist two years ago.
