The Workforce Safety Administration at the Labor and Social Welfare Ministry conducted an extensive enforcement operation last week at 94 construction sites across the country.
During the operation, Safety Authority inspectors closed 51 construction sites due to safety deficiencies discovered, accounting for 54% of all sites surveyed.
Notable deficiencies found include failure to appoint a foreman and failure to notify of construction operations, improper scaffolding, work at heights without proper protection measures, electrical deficiencies, foreman absence from site, and more.
