During an operation by Israeli police officers, over 1,900 bottles of suspected counterfeit alcohol were seized at a grocery store on Balfour Street in Bat Yam.
The bottles, in various volumes, are branded as alcohol of many types of vodka and brandy. Some bottles were caught on display on store shelves and most in boxes.
In an examination conducted by police with the Ministry of Health, it was found that the bottles, according to the suspicion, contain dangerous substances for health and not alcohol worthy of consumption. The bottles were seized for examination.
The business owners were questioned at the police station.
