Knesset Member Miki Zohar of the Likud went to the No'am Party in Jerusalem this week to persuade its leaders to withdraw from the Knesset race and avoid throwing away hundreds of right-wing votes, according to Yediot Ahronot.

In addition, a senior, non-ministerial role was promised to a No'am member. The leaders refused to accept the proposals, but the parties allowed for further contacts between them in the days before the elections.
