Justice Minister Amir Ohana is considering further postponing the introduction of the new Civil Procedure Regulations by the end of 2020, a legal source has told the Maariv-Hashavua' newspaper.

The new Civil Procedure Regulations were signed by former Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked. The regulations were expected to take effect in September, but have been widely criticized by lawyers as well as senior academics. Following the opposition, and with a desire to reach consensus with the court administration, which expressed great support for the reform, Shaked decided to postpone the regulations into effect in February 2020.
