Yisrael Beytenu chairman, MK Avigdor Liberman, on Thursday morning responded to the Supreme Court ruling not to allow a gender separated concert for haredim in Afula.
"While the courts are discussing administrative issues, the real madness is taking place under our noses. The incident in Afula is the result of the surrender of the Likud, headed by Prime Minister Netanyahu, to all the demands of the haredim in coalition negotiations, and in particular the issue of abolishing the prohibition of separation between women and men in the public sphere," Liberman wrote on Facebook.
He added, "We are in favor of a Jewish state and in favor of tradition but against a halakhic state. On September 17, Yisrael Beytenu will restore normalcy and sanity to the State of Israel and establish a broad national government without extortion by the haredim and hardalim.”
