Larissa Trimbobler wrote in a Facebook post that her husband Yigal Amir, who shot at Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, has started a hunger strike in protest over a two-month denial of phones.
The punishment was imposed for having a conversation with rapper-turned-political commentator The Shadow.
