The Likud Party has rejected the legal opinion of Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit against cameras for supervision at polling stations.
A party statement said, "The opinion, which does not allow voting supervision at polling stations - is unacceptable. The Likud sought to check hundreds of polling stations where there was suspicion of forgeries in the Arab sector in the last election - and things have not been examined as of now. Now they are trying , in every way, to prevent basic supervision of polling stations in a way that could hurt democracy and the purity of elections. One must not accept this."
