Against the backdrop of this week's anniversary of the eviction of Jews from Gaza, former Peace Now leader Yariv Oppenheimer drew a parallel on Tuesday with Monday evening's deportation of an illegal worker to the Philippines.
Writing on Twitter, Oppenheimer said, "In Gush Katif, nobody was deported from the state. They moved [them] from an area outside Israel to within Israeli borders. If Gush Katif people had been deported to the Philippines, we would have stopped the planes with our bodies."
