North Korea raised $2 billion for its weapons of mass destruction project through “widespread and increasingly sophisticated” cyber attacks on banks, as well as by converting crypto currencies - according to a confidential United Nations report seen by Reuters, which was submitted to the Security Council last week.
The report states that Pyongyang continued to develop its nuclear program, despite not conducting a nuclear experiment. The North Korean delegation to the UN did not respond to a request to comment on the report.
