A senior Palestinian Authority official has told the Ramallah-based Al-Ayyam newspaper that Israel and the Palestinian Authority are on the verge of an agreement that will allow the PA to directly collect tax on fuel instead of Israel.
The goal is to reduce the economic crisis in the PA and to circumvent the offsetting of the salaries of the terrorists from the tax monies Israel collects for the PA.
