Residents of the Haifa Bay reported that a large flame from a torch at the Carmel Olefins plant in the refineries was documented Monday evening.
The refinery reported that at about 1:00 am, compressor activity ceased in the ethylene facility of the factory that caused an increased flow of gas to the torch for a short period of time and returned to regular activity later on.
