"Like all the people of Israel, my heart is with the Tekka family, with the members, and with the Ethiopian community, for the heavy loss and mourning over the death of the late Soloman. I understand the feeling and need of the young people to demonstrate and protest, but it is forbidden for a legitimate demonstration to turn into anarchy with extremely violent manifestations. "
"I appeal to the protest leaders, their participants and the heads of the Ethiopian community to uphold the law and order. Protests, regardless of its causes, does not justify physical violence against policemen and civilians or harming the routine of an entire country," Liberman said.
