Israeli tourist guide Uri Bar, 58, who has been living in Georgia for the past few years and has been working as a tour guide there, has been missing since Monday morning.
After hours of searching, with the help of local forces, he was found dead on the same day in the area of Kazabgi near the border between Georgia and Russia.
The Israeli consulate in Georgia, Smadar Tzemach Ratzabi and the Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Section of the Foreign Affairs Ministry have been accompanying the incident from the moment of receiving notice of his absence and handling arrangements for transporting the body to Israel. His body is expected to arrive in Israel on Thursday. Uri Bar asked to donate his body to science.
