US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met on Monday with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The State Department said the two discussed the heightened tensions in the region and the need for more robust maritime security in order to promote freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. They agreed on the importance of working together to support regional stability and counter the Iranian regime’s destabilizing activity.
