Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu started his meeting with US National Security Advisor John Bolton.
Netanyahu said: "When the sanctions against Iran were removed because of the nuclear agreement and money flowed, Iran's aggression increased, and those who say that only recently has aggression begun live in another dimension.
"Supporters of the nuclear agreement with Iran claimed it would begin to build and strengthen itself from within - instead, it is building an empire, spreading terror, building bases in Syria, and making efforts to transfer sophisticated weapons to Hezbollah."
Bolton said at the opening of the meeting: "Iran is aiming to acquire nuclear weapons and is building the Revolutionary Guards. The signs show that Iran is not looking for peace, nobody gave Iran a hunting license. Our army is ready to act, sanctions are biting and more will be added."
