The special taxi fare will increase from an average of 3.2 percent tomorrow (Monday), according to the Commodities and Services Control Order.
According to the new rate, the starting price of a taxi ride will be NIS 12.40 instead of NIS 12 today. The increase in tariffs reflects increases in the input basket in the taxi industry from January 2018 to January 2019.
The rate for calling a taxi by phone or by app will be NIS 5.20 in the whole country (except for Eilat), instead of NIS 5 today. The price for a third or more passenger in a taxi will be NIS 5 in the entire country (excluding Eilat), instead of NIS 4.80 today. The cost of an additional suitcase will be NIS 4.40 in the entire country (excluding Eilat), instead of NIS 4.30.
