In the past two weeks there have been disruptions in GPS reception in Ben Gurion Airport.
Disruption does not endanger aircraft safety or flight, according to the Airports Authority. Ben Gurion International Airport is also equipped with the world's most advanced aviation safety equipment. The flight paths and the landing and takeoff routes have operational technological alternatives that do not require GPS reception and the control tower directs the aircraft to these alternatives when necessary. In addition, the flight controllers monitor each plane's takeoff and landing on the radar screen, making sure it does not deviate from its route and height.
