Sara Netanyahu convicted of 'improper use of public funds'

Prime Minister Netanyahu's wife, Sara Netanyahu, admitted committing a criminal offense in the "Dormitory Case" and was convicted as part of a plea bargain.

Magistrate's Court Chief Justice Avital Chen approved the sentence that Netanyahu and the State Prosecutor's Office agreed to - a fine of NIS 10,000 and compensation to state coffers of NIS 45,000.

Judge Chen said, "We respect the plea bargain, and in my opinion this case was mainly a case of proportionality, and it should be viewed as a case of proportions."
