Member of Knesset Shelly Yechimovich (Labor) said on Tuesday that Monday evening's exchange of fire between the Israel Defense Forces and Palestinian Preventative Security "abnormal, severe and worrisome, and does not bode well."
Referring to Prime Minister and Defense Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Yechimovich said, "Despite the Prime Minister's fury toward the PA, its [financial] drying up, and the strengthening of Hamas while abandoning the PA, it must be remembered that its security cooperation with Israel is close and excellent, and saves Israelis lives every single day. It would do well for the defense minister, who is currently busy with his criminal affairs, to quickly resolve the crisis before it deteriorates into a serious escalation."
