Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting on the occasion of Jerusalem Day that the government will transfer NIS 4.5 million to victims of the fires.
"A week ago, we experienced very severe fires. They burned large parts of Mevo Modi'im and Kibbutz Harel, which caused great damage and total loss to dozens of families. It's heartbreaking, and we, in a joint effort with the Interior and Housing ministers, and of course my office and the Defense Ministry, are providing immediate assistance to residents whose homes have been burned down. We'll transfer this, I hope, already in this meeting, in the amount of NIS 4.5 million," said the Prime Minister.
