Interior Minister Aryeh Deri on Monday instructed the director general of the Population and Immigration Authority, Prof. Shlomo Mor Yosef, to allow residents whose homes have been burned down in the fires of recent days to be issued new documents without payment.

Following the burning of dozens of homes throughout the country following the recent heat wave, messages were received from residents that their identity cards, passports, etc. were set on fire. "Anyone whose house was burned and documents of the Interior Ministry were also burned, will have to report it and the documents will be issued free of charge for him," he said.
