Students from the Belz Yeshiva in Beit Hilkia, near Ashdod, complained last night about burning their eyes.

At first it seemed to be poisoning and the firefighters rushed to evacuate yeshiva students from the yeshiva building, and toxic monitoring was carried out at the site, in accordance with the procedures during a hazardous materials incident. Later it became clear that the source of the burning was spraying that was carried out earlier in an agricultural field located close to the yeshiva building. The students were treated at the site, no one needed an evacuation to the hospital, and they were allowed to return to the building.
