Israel Hayom reported that following the arrest of a man for allegedly cursing and spitting at the Polish Ambassador to Israel, the suspect claimed at his hearing that a security guard called him a "Jewboy" after he came to the embassy to inquire about restitution from Poland for Holocaust victims.

The man's lawyer claimed that police failed to document the defendant's version of events.

The police for their part are claiming that the incident appears to have been motivated by road rage, which took place after the suspect honked at the Ambassadors car to move out of the way, the suspect (allegedly) then approached the vehicle, banged forcefully on the roof, and when the ambassador used his cellphone to document the suspect, he opened a car door and spit in the ambassador’s face.

The man has since been released from custody.
